3K3Y Ripp3r 1.02 Released + Assembly code / UPDATE: New Images

Following up on previous release, today the team 3K3Y releases 3K3Y Ripp3r which is a Windows application used for ripping/decrypting/re-encrypting PS3 discs.

Ripping PS3 Games:

Ripping PS3 games is a simple procedure:

• Connect the 3K3Y Ripper PCB and the PS3 BD drive as described above.
• Start the 3K3Y Ripper app, the app will detect the PS3 BD drive and authenticate it.
• Insert a PS3 game into the PS3 BD drive, the 3K3Y Ripper app will detect the PS3 game.
• The 3K3Y Ripper PCB indicates the presence of a disk via the 3K3Y Ripper disk presence LED.

Note: The 3K3Y Ripper app cannot detect the PS3 BD drive if there is a game disk loaded, you must eject any disk loaded in the drive.

Decrypted files cannot be used with the 3K3y PS3 ODE, they must be encrypted again before use. PS3 game ISOs can be encrypted using the same function, select the ‘.dec’ file and the 3K3y Ripper application will create an encrypted ‘.iso’ file that can be used with the 3K3y PS3 ODE.
