The game will load up usually if i do not sign in but if i load it while signed in, it will freeze on the animation whilst loading up the game. And if i sign in when i get to the multiplayer menu it just freezes on "connecting to activision servers".

I have tried :
  • Using a new eboot (B777x)
  • Restoring the file system
  • deleting the BLES01717 folder from HDD, and reinstalling the update.
None of them have seemed to work.

Anyone got any suggestions or experienced this problem?

Iam getting the same thing I think it’s because I need an older account I heard the newer ones are freezing with mods but idk for sure if that’s true

Following this method I can get online but I noticed that all the stats are not saving on the leaderboard. Plus I can’t edit any kind of video on the theatre, it simply won’t save on my profile.

Did anybody found a solution for this problem?
(I tested this on my OFW ps3 only the newer account are affected by this, older accounts than 2018 are non affected)

all you have to do is load up and go to LAN PARTY the sign in while inside the game
Thank you so much. Doing this exactly as you said fixed it for me and allowed me to sign into multiplayer without BO2 freezing. Id been trying to find a solution to this for hours and your suggestion worked for me :)

i tried this but it glitched out my menu and screwed it all up and wasnt ablee to use all mods only ones i could use were the ones i turned on while offline, i wonder when we create a new account we have to set our dates on the console past 2017-2018 because that seamed to fix paradise menu. will it work for older games like bo2?
