Im a late bloomer on Online, got hooked on gtav and... at the point, if you cant beat them join them. Ive been reading through the forums for quite some time and having trouble getting my head around some info. I picked up an unmolested phat ps3 on 4.75. However upon turning on it asks for a manditory 4.76 or later update and thats it. looking into JBing it, how and what would you suggest

bc if he asking just for a update its bc sony released a 4.84 update and you either have to upgrade to 4.84 or use sen enabler to spoof it to 4.84

is it that it go s straight in to recovery you have to re install the firmware or intstall a later firmware to me able to start the ps3 up to the xmb so to speak

ok this console hasnt been online for maybe 1.5-2 yrs, its just asking to install update later than 4.76.
will it need OFW4.84 to run again first or go straight to CFW

if you install OFW then you lose your Jailbreak and you have to re flash the ps3 what i would do is just install rebug 4.84 to be sure bc thats the latest one

if you go on any firmware lower then 4.84 then yea you need sen if you go traight to 4.84 you dont need sen

hey, back again. so phats all G, running rebug 4.81 installed gtav n updates (not on psn), fan contol adjusted through webman but straight after load screen ready to go single player console shuts down like its hot?
its got fresh heat sync paste n very clean, cpu temp 58c at idle and 63c after restart from the shut down. not hot?
Something sinister going on you think.

so was 4.76 i installed ofw 4.82 through usb, then xploit 4.82.hex then cfw rebug 4.82 package had 4.81.# tutorial explained this and worked. everything seems right but after disk game load ready to start shutsdown. i got j.reborn 36.1

i dont think you haveto re do it all the exploit you using is for fq 4.81 or 4.82 so you should be good

ok, ill try update rebug. other apps like multiman, irisman n sen enabler wouldnt conflict would they?

cobra enabled, cex qa, xmb cfw disabled, is this correct settings?

things like sen has to be updated MM wil still work irisman also i think

just look if its still working if it all work then all good if you got any problems with it like errors then just update all that shit

I'm afraid to say i think it might be the onset of YLOD.
When the console needs to work abit it shutsdown.

I'll attempt to reball, but Im not holding my breath, Ill try again on another system if so.
