    You have to rule out all options before you rule it as a GPU problem. If you checked with a different hdmi, then do a video reset on your ps3 by holding the power button. If still no video with hdmi, you'll have to try using your AV Jack to make sure your hdmi port on your ps3 didn't go bad...
