CID does not seem to be working

Hello everyone! Unfortunately, I am having some troubles with my PS3. I am trying to put different CID's on it, but the problem is that everytime I apply it and save it, I reboot after and all that happens is changes back to a CID that I have never seen before, and because of that I am not able to go online. Does anyone know what might be happening with me?

every time you change your cid, click SAVE in multiman, if you don't save, the new cid won't stay.
