E developer wiired24 informs us that it is always possible to enjoy most emulators on Xbox One. Microsoft has removed the emulators from its store, but that does not mean that it is no longer possible to launch them.
It shows on GBATemp several tutorials that allow to find the following emulators, it even managed to take some of them (like that of PSP) to propose the .appx file directly:
- PlayStation One (PS1)
- PlayStation Portable (PSP)
- SNES / NES / GB / GBC / GBA / Sega Genesis
- Nesbox Emulator
- Nintendo 64
Most of the time, this will go through the developer mode of the Xbox One, but it shows that it is still possible to launch win64e10 to enjoy N64 roms, Nesbox to enjoy the SNES / NES / GB / GBC / GBA / Sega Genesis or PPSSPP to run PSP games, and confirms that the WinPDFReader and SimplePDFViewer emulators continue to work after they are removed from the awning.
To start, it is necessary to activate its console in developer mode, for this you will need to have a developer account,https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/store/register
Then you will need https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/xbox-apps/devkit-activation console with this procedure.
Finally you will have to have the tutorial that it recommends knowing that the emulators are available here:
For GBA:http://www.mediafire.com/file/8x4n2q16hho9w4m/VBA10_1.22.197.0_Test.zip
For SNES / NES / GB / GBC / GBA / Sega Genesis: https://nesbox.itch.io/x1
For N64: http://www.mediafire.com/file/zev35cxi6pdle03/Win64e10_PKG.rar
For PSP: http://www.mediafire.com/file/x39n3qzc6807a4s/PPSSPP_Release_APPX_PKG.rar
For PS1: The emulators must be downloaded, before the withdrawal, it simply informs that they continue to function.
The tutorials are all identical, except the one for the Nesbox which relies on the browser, they are available here:https://gbatemp.net/forums/xbox-one-tutorials.262/
