In this tutorial, you will be explained how to modify yourself a cfw to make it no_bd, that is to say able to emulate the daughter card
IF YOU FOLLOW THIS TUTORIAL THERE WILL BE NO PRONLEMS NEVERTHELESS I DISCHARGE ANY BRICKS ON YOUR CONSOLE
1) Prerequisites
- Ps3mfw v1.0.0 build 0.2.6.0 here http://www76.zippyshare.com/d/59193241/50679/Our_MFW_1.0.0_Build_0.2.6.0_Update.zip
- Any cfw cobra or not (here the darknet cobra 4.66 v1.02)
- A pc on Windows
- A USB key in fat 32
- One ps3 in cfw (Nan?)
) Modification of cfw
Start "ps3mfw.exe". You should arrive on this type of screen:
Here we choose the path of our cfw of origin and of the future cfw no_bd:
For our original fw (here named PS3UPDATE.PUP):
And for our future fw no_bd (here named PS3UPDAT no_bd.PUP):
Once done, check "[4.xx] Patch lv1!" ", If not already done, as below in the red box:
Then click on "Configure >>" surrounded in black above.
Uncheck "[4.xx] Patch using habib's patterns! [Also used for cobra] "as well as" [4.xx] Mmap out lv1! "Below enclosed in red. Check "[4.5x | 4.6x] Patch lv1 noBD Fix for CFW! "Below enclosed in black:
Then, go back to the left part of the program, and lower the "tasks" bar here surrounded in blue. You will find and check the task "Patch PUP (Change version and more)" here surrounded in red. Click "Configure >>" again, surrounded in black.
You will then check here "Remove BdpRevoke to updat console with broken drive" and "Remove BD firmware to updat console with broken drive" red.
Now, click on "Build MFW":
At about 3:30 min after clicking on "build MFW" you will get the message:
Then click ok to continue the operation, this is normal.
After about 4:30 minutes you will get the message:
This means that everything went well! Then click on ok and you will find your new modified cfw in the location specified at the beginning of the tutorial!
All you have to do now is rename your modified cfw (here "PS3UPDAT no_bd.PUP_4.66.pup") to "PS3UPDAT.PUP". Put it on a USB stick following this X: \ PS3 \ UPDATE \ PS3UPDAT.PUP tree and install it on your ps3. ENJOY
