Me personally I think it's a great idea that apple is removing the headphone jack. They are being innovated. They are the only phone maker who was willing to take this risk. Apple is known to remove the standard to create a new and better standard. The new macs removed the USB 3.0 ports and replaced it with a USB-C port. For people who don't know what USB-C is. USB-C is faster, smaller, displays video and works either direction. It's similar to a lighting port they use for iPhones. I think Steve Jobs would approve. No, i will not go out and buy a new iPhone just because its water proof I'll buy a case if I need it to be waterproof.
For all the android fans. Yes, Samsung, LG and Google (Nexus) they had these features long before Apple. I currently have the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge. I did a benchmark on my iPhone 6s+ and Galaxy s7 edge with the same software. The iPhone outperformed the newer Galaxy. Here's why. Android rarely get updates, full with bloatware and they are resource hungry. Apple knows how to use their low-end resources to perform better than a device that has 2x stronger components. Androids tend to worry more about features rather than the software that makes their phones work. Look at the Galaxy s5 and s6. Samsung bragged that you can change the battery, get your heart rate and Its waterproof and yet they removed those features in the s6 and s7.
For people hating on apple about the headphone jack.
Backup for my android arguments
