Wednesday afternoon, when spammers sent a malicious email, appearing to come from people the recipients knew, asking them to click on what appeared to be a shared Google document.
Recipients who clicked on the links were prompted to give the sender access to their Google contact lists and Google Drive. In the process, victims allowed spammers access to their contact lists and send even more emails.
The email looks like this:
If you have this in your inbox DELETE IT. It is disguised to look like it's from someone you know. Do NOT open it. I would advise changing your passwords as well.
