Requirements:

• A PS3 System with CFW
• A CCAPI Version which works with the CFW Version in PS3 Download it here: https://www.enstoneworld.com/articles/view/15/ControlConsole_API
• PS3 and the computer which will be used need to be connected to the same network
• PS3Lib

  For some reason this software is giving a false positive on Jiangmin Antivirus on my All-in-one zip file which I made for this tutorial. This can be seen if you have a look at the files through the Details Tab on VirusTotal page.   This zip file also includes the PS3Lib-4.5.1 and CCAPI 2.60. Furthermore, as explained above on PS3Lib spoiler, for some reason PS3Lib gives a false positive. Head to PS3Lib Spoiler to download this file from the source

Steps:

1. Install CCAPI on PS3 and PC
   • Install the .exe file on your PC
     
   • Install the .pkg file on your PS3
     • Get a formatted FAT 32 USB
       
     • Create a folder in the root of USB and name it "packages"
     • Copy-Paste the X-100...pkg file in this folder
       
     • Plug your USB on PS3
       
     • On XMB Select Install Packages Files -> From Package Folder
       
     • Install X-100....pkg now by pressing X on it.
     • After installation, run the homebrew CCAPI Install/Uninstaller
     • Follow On-Screen Instruction
2. Download PS3Lib from the source given above
3. Install PS3Shelter
4. Extract somewhere PS3Lib (for example: On Desktop)
   
5. After installation, open up the folder where you installed PS3 Shelter
6. Open up the folder where you installed CCAPI
7. On the PS3Shelter Folder, backup the:
   • CCAPI.dll (Rename it or copy somewhere else)
   • PS3Lib.dll (Same thing applies here too)
8. On the CCAPI folder, copy and paste the CCAPI.dll (from the CCAPI folder) to the PS3Shelter folder (Overwrite it if necessary)
   • Since the software hasn't been touched by the devs since 2014, you need to update the CCAPI library to make it work. That's why we are doing all these steps. Keep in mind that this is a one-time procedure only. You won't repeat these steps again unless you want to update CCAPI.
   • Be sure to not move or delete the CCAPI.dll from the CCAPI folder, otherwise, you will be met with an annoying continuous pop-up error (that happened to me).
9. Head over to the extracted PS3Lib folder
   • Go to PS3Lib-4.5.1/bin directory
   • Copy the PS3Lib.dll to the PS3Shelter (Overwrite it if necessary)
10. Now you have modified your PS3 Shelter to work with the most recent CCAPI version
11. Run the PS3Shelter app from the desktop
    • You may be getting some errors depending on your actions:
      • RemoteServer(403)
        • This happens as this app tries to contact the dev's server (website) to get the latest news for this software. Since the devs have closed their website this error will be displayed. Press Continue, the app can still run fine.
      • news.txt file
        • Since it can't maintain this file from the server, the app will tell you about. Just press continue. If you want to avoid this error, create a news.txt file, write whatever you want there. Make it Read-Only on Properties (the app will try to overwrite it), and move it on the PS3Shelter folder. Still another error appears! You still can't escape an error. Access denied for news.txt. This app for sure it's doing its best to keep you updated. Just press continue again.
      • "Version _Xdfssaifsa" error
        • Be sure to check if you have placed the PS3Lib.dll correctly
12. After you avoided so many errors, set up the spoofer to your preferences
13. Enter your PS3 IP Address and connect to it
    • Can be found on Network Settings on PS3
    • Can be found on Multiman Main Page
14. Connect online with your PrivateID
    • With the recent IP Ban, I recommend using a VPN. I don't know if it affects the CID Lifetime if you don't do something for IP Ban. Better safe than sorry
15. After that run the spoofer
16. Play longer and safer
