Hi!
If you are reading this, is probably because you'd like to save some space in your internal HDD of PS3. As a lot of you know, a lot of games ask to install Game Data on PS3 for play them : usually the size of these Game Data is very high, and having a lot of them can be frustrating.
But wait! If you follow this tutorial, you can save some space, but of course you'll have to use space from an external HDD.
Remember, you can follow this tutorial for both, Game Data and Digital games ( PKG ).
Let's begin!!

GAME DATA
1) Ok, first load your game from multiMAN. Then boot it, install ALL updates ( if there are ) and then let it installs Game Data on INTERNAL HDD.
2) When it finishes, go back to XMB. Now boot again multiMAN. Go to the game, access to the options of the game and select " Ext Game Data ".
3) Now go on file manager mode. Navigate to dev_usb ( you have to access in the External HDD you wanna use ) and create a folder there. Call it " GAMEI ".
4) Now go on dev_hdd0/game/ and find the BLES / BLUS of your game. COPY the folder, and past it to GAMEI. So, for example, it will be -> dev_usb/GAMEI/BLESXXXXX .
5) Let it finishes, and now enter to the BLES folder on dev_hdd0/game. There, you'll find some files ( like PARAM.SFO, etc.. ). Don't touch them, and enter to USRDIR. DELETE ALL THE FILES, EXCEPT EBOOT.BIN .
6) Now, always on multiMAN, boot the game ( make sure you've read Step 2 ).
7) Boot the game, and you should play it fine.

Keeping the files such as PARAM.SFO, ICON0.PMG and EBOOT.BIN on internal HDD, should avoid the frustrating bug of " disappearing game data when you access in Utility Game Data. When this appear, PS3 will not recognize game data anymore but they are still present in the HDD, occuping space without reason. But if you've followed my tutorial well, this bug shouldn't appear.
IN CASE IT DOES APPEAR : go on file manager, navigate to dev_hdd0/game and delete the BLES of game data. Then install them again.

GAMES
This is exactly the same thing. Find your NPUB / NPEB game on dev_hdd0/game , and paste the folder to dev_usb/GAMEI. After that, delete all files except PARAM.SFO, EBOOT.BIN and bla bla from internal, and the game should play fine.

--- When you are in External game mode, you will not be able to use things that are installed in internal. ---
--- If you have Game data on external, the game MAYBE can run a bit slower ( like it takes more time to load. ) ---
--- For switching easily between Internal and External game Data, install this homebrew : http://store.brewology.com/ahomebrew.php?brewid=137 . Everytime you boot it, it switches to INT TO EXT and viceversa. ---
