One of the small drawbacks of the PS Vita is that it can not display the status of the battery in percentage similar to what exits on smartphones.
No options are available for this purpose, but this is now fixed with a new plugin. This plugin displays this new functionality by simply displaying the real-time percentage of the battery.
The percentage of the battery is displayed in the game.
Instructions:
Put "batteryPercent.suprx" in the folder ux0: / tai in your PS Vita.
Open ux0: /tai/config.txt and add the following:
# Titleid for your application
* RAND0666
Ux0: tai / batteryPercent.suprx
Then, press (Select + Up) to display your battery percentage, or (Select + Right) to display the lifetime of your battery. You can use either (Select + Down) or (Select + Left) to close one of the displays.
Please note for the condition of the battery that this is based on an approximation that may not always be correct. For example, at some point it can go from 6 hours to 5 or 4 hours, especially if you tend to use a lot of sleep mode. However, as you continue to use your PS VITA, an average timing should appear.
