will sony ever leave ps3 users alone

I was wondering what you guys think sony's plans are for the ps3 do you think that they will stop banning ps3 users or do you think that they'e will ban more. I thought that when the cid glitch was working that was the end of sony banning people but now it seems like they are banning cids and ips a lot more then they ever have.

A lot of it is automated, so I don't think they will stop banning until the PSN servers on PS3 are shutdown because there's no one left to ban.

Well, I think the CID glitch was a hoax to lure the CFW users to use a fake Console ID and since sony can see what's real/fake they know what Ip's to log and ban. They will not leave modders alone due to the fact its profit loss. If they give up you will see PSN shut down.

yeah that could be true as loads of people are getting ip banned instead of cid banned i wonder if the people that never used a fake id got ip banned aswell

I honestly thought it was a hoax too. That's why I never used a fake CID to go online. I saw that it worked and I still didn't care to try it because it's not worth all the problems that could and still might potentially arise on the player(s) who used it.

It's not like your CID stopped working so what's the point of using a fake CID xD. There were conspiracy theories once the glitch was discovered. It seemed highly fishy that all of a sudden you could go online with any cid.

Agreed @Yoshi. And I never used a fake one either as I stated above and I still appear to be OK. Only time will tell. Eventually more players/modders will make their way here asking "what gives?" So, I guess we'll have to see. This all seems pretty new time me. I never believed that Sony banned IPs.
