Unplug you PS3's ethernet connection, power off your modem for 30 seconds, power it back on, plug in your ethernet cable and turn on your PS3. Then run the internet set up again.

LOL because your trying to connect to the internet wireless and on you ps3 settings you have the settings on wired change the settings to wireless my friend

I doubt it sounds more like a network issue have you got the SEN Enaber 4.84 spoofer

Take a close look at the ethernet port on your PS3 and see if one of those 8 pins is missing, bent, or broken?
