After a number of 'teaser' videos, it looks like the 'exploit' is almost ready!
French coder Smealum is preparing to release a 3DS Homebrew Channel hack for 3DSes soon!
We have seen various videos posted over the last few months on 'homebrew' exploit for the Nintendo 3DS, and recently the coder has tweeted that it is working on latest 8.1 firmware and also bought in some extra help to code up graphics and cute menu launcher.
Here is rundown of possible 'features' so far:
It been stated before there will be no need of 'flashcart' to run 'homebrew', but it also been stated it will NEVER play pirated ROMs either, and of course no release date yet either as it been 'soon' now for months and big 'N' is always up****** their 3DS firmware!

- It works on the latest 3DS firmware, unlike previous hacks that require outdated versions from a year and a half ago
- This will not load commercial or pirated 3DS ROMs, only homebrew applications and games (though it will be able to run emulators like this SNES one for 3DS)
- It will support North American, European, and Japanese systems
- While Smealum hasn't implemented region unlocking yet, he says "playing games from other region
should almost definitely be possible" - I expect this will be with imported cartridges, not ROMs
