Recently i downloaded a vegas pro crack that was released by the member iankush420

To my suprise when i ran it, it was a rat, he had posted a virus scan and i went back to the thread to check out the virus scan he posted, it was a fake virus scan, he had scanned a website and not the file shortly after my cam turned on, so i'm going to go ahead and restore my alienware laptop to factory settings to get rid of the rat, do not download anything from the user, it shouldn't take me long to restore my pc i'll be back shortly stay safe everyone.

This just goes to show, be safe when downloading any files and don't trust anyone, check and make sure it' is clean yourself before opening it!

I looked through the virus scan not realizing that he actually scanned a website with it, at the time i thanked him i was downloading the first link that he put to the original website in which everything was clean, but when i ran the file he posted there were about 6 svhosts.exe that came up on task manager, my firewalls got disabled and task manager got disabled aswell


and now that i think about it a .exe patch doesn't seem to legit nothing comes up and he didn't even explain what to do with it.

no actually, after you uninstall the rat you have to re-enable firewalls and find a way to re-enable task manager, it created a false system 32 that isn't even real, finding the real one before deleting the fake one might be a challenge.
