No no black screen tv just say no signal but the PS3 is on

Did you try booting it into recovery mode?

This is what it does the PS3 turns on but the tv says no signal so I tried recovery mode and it won't let me get into it so then I try to turn PS3 off but it won't let me turn off with the green button on the PS3 I have to unplug power cord to turn off I switch hdmi cables still nothing tried AV still noting but I don't understand why it says no signal on tv but will let me turn the PS3 on with the green button but won't let me turn it off with that button
