The developer Alexander has just uploaded a new version of Custom Firmware based on the official firmware 4.83. This is to discover here a standard version of CFW Ferrox 4.83.
Standard means that this CFW Ferrox 4.83 does not have Cobra 7.55 functions as is the case of the previous version. Most users do not use Cobra functions, just using CFW peek and poke to launch PS3 games.
The use of the Cobra functions and plugin increases the temperature by about one or two degrees on heavy use, so you do not need its functions much without it.
It also means that you will not be able to load backups in ISO format, bakups saved on DVD or Bluray engraved, load plugins simply (it is still possible through a loader but Cobra functions facilitate their launch) .
As such, most loaders, MultiMan, ManaGunZ and other irisMan have yet to be updated to officially support CEX 4.83.
Another clarification, in this CFW, you will not find the package manager, but the classic package installation files. You will not even find the installer for graphic mods. This is in practice a very clean CFW, a kind of good old Rogero according to Alexander.
