So as some may know, Cydia is being replaced soon by Sileo from CoolStar. Unsure of any other developers pitching in, most likely his Team Electra is. But as some are aware, with the recent upgrade being pushed on Cydia came an issue of installing it. Yes its broken, but no need to worry, there is a fix for it however its not within Cydia, but a side-loaded app "CydiaUpdateHelp" that was just released by CoolStar over the day of this issue being developed.
What If I Proceeded With Cydia Update and It Hangs In The Install Window?
- At this point, close Cydia, perhaps restart device, rejailbreak device, and then SSH the below .deb file to your device to install the recently developed CydiaUpgradeHelp IPA
- Then don't worry about this, however in the future, perhaps have the below IPA installed on your device and ready just in case
