gta 4 versions need help

i got gta 4 complete edition would so i can play tlad tbogt then normal gta 4 ,
would i be able to join a friend who has different '' game disc '' like he only got the normal gta 4
and if i start normal gta 4 in the complete edition can he join me ?

Yes If you both have Grand Theft Auto IV, He can join like normal!

and in gta 4complete edition you can choise between tbogt normalk 4 and tlad so idk..

If he has gta iv then load up gta iv, he can play aslong as your using same game aka gta iv! You both have iv
