I wanted to know if I could use my slim ps3's hard drive in my fat 40gb ps3 with out it unjailbreaking or anything

Yes you can but your ps3 will ask to format it.

It's already jailbroken I'm on rebug 4.46 but do I have to back it up or something . ?

putting in a new hard drive dosnt unjailbreak it the firmware isn't on the hard drive its in the internal system. If you do switch hard drives it will ask you to format it which deletes the stuff on it I think.

So I can just put the hard drive in on rebug 4.46 and it will still be jailbroken
