There are many ways to check for sites and servers to see if they are online, this is one way to do so. And without using your browser to google it. Much less work really ;p

Search and Run: CMD
Type: Ping followed by the url of the site or server

(Example of Online Site: Ping www.Google.com)

(Example of Offline Site: Ping secure.ubi.com/login/)

But of course using the site (http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/) is a great way to see if a site is online or offline for everyone or just you. Hope this helps some people, if not then eat a potato ;p Always solved my problems
