If i system restore my ps3 will i loose my JB?

my friend had problems with getting stuck on the booting waves so he file system restore and database restored but didnt work so he took his hdd out and he wants to know if he system restore his ps3 will he still be jb

well first of all downgrade to 3.55 and then restore ur ps3 i think

he dont have a e3 flasher

i fixed it for him he kept spamming me while on mw3 so i just said **** it and went over to his house and used my e3 flasher to fix it its all good thanks
