So it's been brought to my a attention that quiet a bit of the members are complaining about post boosting and other various things that I'll post about on a later date.
POST BOOSTING
So in regards to post boosting, pretty much the only thing that falls into that category is the continuous spamming of threads that hold no apparent relevancy or the constant spamming of replies on threads (ie: 8+ replies to threads that hold no relevancy and or don't help the poster improve their thread in any way shape or form)
Also stating the obvious about things is grounds for post boosting, but if it is in a narcissistical or pompous way then it is null.
The last thing that is grounds for post boosting is reposting pre existing threads (if that wasn't obvious enough)
MONTHLY POSTER
Yes this is a competition but some of the staff feel as though you guys are taking it a little too far and turning it into a full on war amongst yourselves. The objective of the monthly poster competition was to encourage people to post more and be more active on the site as well as help them produce better content by raising the bar of threads so only ones that are deemed passible will be able to stay on the site. Apparently many of you are forgetting such a thing and without realizing it are actually slowly breaking off little parts of our amazing community that you and I have worked so hard in creating. That's pretty much like a mother dog abandoning its pups.
CONSEQUENCES
These consequences coincide with both the fights/complaining occurring over the monthly poster competition and post boosting.
Step One: A warning(pretty much us being nice and giving you a chance to stop)
Step Two: 1 day ban
Step Three: 1 week ban
Step Four: 1 year ban
Step Five: IP Ban
NOTE: We shall have the ability to bypass the step one depending on the severity of your offense, we also reserve the right to bypass step 1 in general if a valid reason is provided for doing so (basically enough evidence)
CONCLUSION
So I ask that you all calm down and remember to have fun and not take this monthly poster competition so seriously.
We will also be working on gradually stopping the post boosting problem that apparently exists on our site.
