After six years, Mount & Blade: Warband is now available for consoles.
The Mount & Blade series began in 2004, when TaleWords began a hobby project inspired by action RPGs, strategy games, and historical fiction novels. Mount & Blade was then released in 2007, to a positive reception.
Warband, its sequel, followed in 2010. It was only available for PC, Mac, and Linux until this year, when it finally made its console debut on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It is an action RPG with a medieval setting, with both single player and multiplayer options. Multiplayer supports up to 32 players in a variety of modes. Check out the recent trailer to see what you have to look forward to.
The PC version of Mount & Blade: Warband has proven very successful, with over 40,000 Steam reviews leading to an overall positive rating. Everything from the PC game is intact in its console versions, and it can be bought digitally for $19.99.
Several years have passed since its initial debut, but it’s still popular today. Now console users can get in on the fun with the PS4 and Xbox One launch of Mount & Blade: Warband.
