Need help with gta 5

ok so I don't when this started but I was playing gta 5 and suddenly my controller stopped working I thought my controller was broke so I went on youtube on my ps3 and noticed that the controller was working fine so I went to another game and it was still working so I went back to gta 5 but nothing worked I couldn't move or press any buttons idk how to fix it can any body help?
