Today, Sony announce that they will be releasing a new firmware update for the PlayStation 4 tomorrow, this update will bring support for PULSE Wireless Stereo Headset (including the GTA V limited edition version) and the original Wireless Stereo Headset. Sony will also be releasing a new Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 which should be out from 10th February 2014 and costs around £79.99/€89.99/$99.99

Looks like it has 3 buttons on it. Wonder what they are for. (beside volume up and down lol)

This is why I can't stand Sony as a corporation. The PS4 bluetooth profile is locked down to PS4 approved devices.

I have a set of XP500 turtle beach headsets and I can't connect them via bluetooh, I have to use a chat cable but it was a pain in the ass to get one. So I guess there will never be support for existing headsets to be able to work via blueetooth with the PS4.

Why not release and update adding compatibility with the previous bluetooth profile?

Wow, so the just make a update for this? why not make a big update to fix everything on the PS4 instead of approving 2 bluetooth headset. They should have disabled the HDCP and let us record our gameplays and Livestream to YouTube.

Because it is not profitable. This update allows consumers to purchase A headset that can be pair via Bluetooth. I think that we all know that Sony cares only about profit.

We also lost features such as DLNA support and MP3 playback :(
