Red Screen of Death

i went to convert my cex to dex via the rebug toolbox successgully. but upon restart i get the RSOD.

i only have enough memory on my USB for 128MB and all CFWs i've seen ar around 200 so i tried all the steps i could in Recovery Mode(besides installing update) but to no avail.

The system starts up with the waves like it's about to say "rebug" and then it goes to the red screen.

But when i did the System Restore.. it makes a noise like a confirmation message or an error message does. so i cant restore or format... i hope i can re-install the CFW i was on for it to work again.

there are sites saying to fix the RSOD you could install a .pkg that will fix it. like how the hell is that possible? i have no FTP access either.

UPDATE: if your PS3 freezes when you select Option 6....

Step one:reboot, select option 5.
Step 2: you will get red screen.
Step 3: Reboot to Recovey Mode again and choose option 6.
Step 4 (i have not made it this far yet cause of my USB drive): Update to 3.55 downgrader...

i will update when i figure these things out by myself. since this site isn't any help at all.

i dont know why, but i have a 1Gb usb ..and it wont detect the update files. it detects it much fast than it use to, but i tstill doesnt detect it. idk why.

Huge HUGE commendation for Snipars for sticking with me through the whole process of me getting my PS3 back to normal. ( 2 hour process) successfully.
