Representatives were selected by voters for the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Senedd along with Mayor and local councils in England
The police and crime commissioners were also voted for by; both England and wales citizens
The results are expected to be released over the few days, with the outcome of the Hartlepool by-election expected early Friday (May 7, 2021)
Elections in 2020 were postponed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, which lead to a very enormous set of polls taking place this year (2021)
MEMBERS ELECTED
The results obtain will dictate whether the party is recovering from it's defeat in the 2019 general elections
Conservatives are hoping to build on their success in the general elections, when they are able to flip several constituencies previously considered UK Labour strongholds.
Both parties will be closely watching the result of this by-election in Hartlepool, a seat currently held by Labour
Scotland results will give an indication of the level of public support received for a second independence referendum, as proposed by the Scottish National Party
The Welsh Labour party is aiming to remain the largest party in the Senedd, where they have been in charge since the parliament was founded in 1999
