"Your PC ran into an issue" Help!!

Hello ConsoleCrunch!
I've got a Alienware MX18 Laptop 16GB RAM , 700GB HDD.For the last few months once in a while it would give me a message "Your pc ran into an issue, Were restarting it please wait".I'm pretty sure something to do with a kernel issue. But anyways It has just done it a few minutes ago (6:58 EST) and it was making a loud noise sounded like when you plug a AV cord in the wrong spot but loud. If Anyone knows how to fix this or at least decrease the amount of this happening please pm or drop a comment.

Easy Take your battery out leave it for a few hours
Or Its Overheated
If That doesnt work throw it in the freezer and i might work

Battery is internal.Its probs over heating as it hasent been turned off in months :/
