You won't generate a valid CID from a generator. The CID is composed of 32 hexadecimal digits followed by 32 null digits, you actually only need to generate a valid 16 hexadecimal digit as the first 16 digits of CID doesn't need to be change, so as the last 32. That leaves you with 1.8 x 10^19 possible combinations. There are actually more variables you need to consider, but basically, If there are 100 million (I'm just rounding up) sold PS3 consoles, we can assume there are 100 million valid CIDs. 100 million = 1 x 10^8, which means, the odds of you getting a valid randomly generated console ID is lower than 0,555555556 x 10^-11 or 0,00000000000555555556. The odds of you winning the lottery are 1 in 175,711,536 or 0,000000006.

It's more likely for you to win the lottery than to generate a valid CID.

Even worse, idps have separate ranges for every region and motherboard revision combo, so chances are actually way lower tan those. I agree, death by thunderbolt has higher chances by far.

i don't have a console id , but i just wanna share my "research" isn't it a big deal but i hope u guys try one of these "idps" maybe u can found the "one".

I did this based on the console id ps3devwiki ps3 type, region, etc.

i figure out that in mexico most of ps3 are "ps3 slim" so i was able to get a lot of banned ids, and then i saw a coincidence in the chasis check(the 9th and 10th byte from a console id(after de ps3 model type)) most of them have "140" the only byte that really change was the four after the zero, so i developed a tool to make random idps based on all of this points nd i made a little txt with a lot of possible valid idps.
if u want to generate idps based on this u need to use these at the first nd the 32 zero at the end
