I dont have complete edition but i think that there is no update.img in it so you should deal with those images: script.img and script_network.img of CD images

If your modding on ps3 original you don't touch the script.img & script_network.img... If you are modding xbox you do but not on ps3 so when you said that I figured you were talking about TBOGT or TLAD
